Terms of service
Last updated:
These terms are a plain-English template. Have them reviewed before relying on them. Each client also signs a short service agreement.
1. The service
provides AI receptionist services: an AI voice assistant that answers calls for your business, takes messages, books appointments where configured, and sends you call summaries.
2. Demos and pilots
Website demos use fictional examples and your browser's voice; they show how the service works, not exact results. A free pilot runs for the agreed period, after which a paid plan starts only if you confirm in writing.
3. Fees and billing
Setup fees are invoiced before work begins (unless waived for pilot partners). Monthly fees are invoiced in advance. Call minutes above your plan are billed in arrears at the rates in your agreement. Prices exclude any applicable taxes.
4. Cancellation
You can cancel a monthly plan with 30 days' written notice. Setup fees are non-refundable once the build has started.
5. Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information about your services, prices and policies, and tell us when they change.
- Make sure your use of call answering and recording meets the laws that apply to you, including telling callers where required.
- Keep a way for urgent matters to reach a human.
6. AI limitations
AI assistants can occasionally misunderstand callers or make mistakes. The receptionist is designed to take a message when unsure, and we monitor and improve it, but it does not replace professional judgement. It must not be relied on for emergency, medical, legal or safety advice.
7. Availability
We aim for continuous availability but depend on third-party telephony and AI providers. We're not liable for outages outside our reasonable control and will tell you promptly about any we become aware of.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid in that period, and we're not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
9. Data
Personal data is handled as described in the privacy policy and, for clients, a data processing agreement.
